Sachse is a smaller, growing suburb between Garland, Wylie, and Murphy. It offers newer homes, a new central park, and quick access to the Bush Turnpike.

Heritage Park

After a two-year, roughly $10 million renovation, Heritage Park reopened in October 2024, according to Dallas Innovates. Its train-station-style pavilion and themed playground nod to the city’s railroad origins.

The county line matters

Sachse spans Dallas and Collin counties. Homes in Dallas County are in Garland ISD; homes in Collin County are in Wylie ISD. Tax rates also differ.

Homes and errands

Most homes are single-family, many built in recent decades. Firewheel Town Center is about a mile south for shopping and dining.

Commuting

SH 78 and the Bush Turnpike are the main routes. Sachse isn’t a DART city; the nearest rail stations are in Garland.
