Rowlett is one of the few Dallas suburbs where you can live near a large lake and still take the train downtown. Here is what that combination looks like.

On Lake Ray Hubbard

Rowlett grew up around Lake Ray Hubbard. The Paddle Point Creek Paddling Trail, developed by Texas Parks and Wildlife and the city, covers about 6.4 miles, and the lake supports fishing and boating.

Downtown and the DART station

Downtown Rowlett station opened on the Blue Line in 2012, and transit-oriented development has followed around the historic Main Street area. Trains run through Garland to downtown Dallas.

Homes

Most homes are single-family, including lakefront and lake-view properties. Near the water, ask about flood zones, dock rules, and insurance.

Schools

Garland ISD serves the Dallas County side and Rockwall ISD the Rockwall County side. Confirm for each address.
